I was directed by the City Attorney to come back for a special meeting. I am
here at a considerable cost to me professionally and with much thought it
does not matter except for fair and honest government; subsequently I cannot
believe I did arrive and am not going to attend so the remaining corrupt
officials can vote 3 to 1 against me. I find it distressing that a District
Judicial System would release an affected city official so a quorum could be
had_ I have lost all faith in our governing bodies.
As a Venice elected official I find it distressing that the City Attorney
speaks of a “Settlement” and no formal Council action authorized that but
pressed forwarded by a corrupt Mayor and other disgraced Council Members.
I will attend a voting quorum if the affected council members publically
apologize to our community for breaking the law and / or resign.
I am the only one that appears to give a damn about following every local,
State, and Federal regulations; no one can be a better steward of the law
and my entire professional life has been 100% adherence to all applicable
laws. I will be there for the regular Council meetings and the Mayor and
others can attend their other non-effective long, long, long, meetings.
FOR YOU MAYOR,
Janis Fawn is the most altruistic person I have ever known,
has tried to make the most positive contributions to our community, reads
everything and is totally prepared for every meeting she attends (too
numerous to mention), and we never discussed PC vs. Council business (that
was our agreement right up front when she accepted the planning commission
seat). And for your information, John Patten ruined my friendship (right
before you were elected) with Janis, the best friend I had in years. I want
my friendships and life back that you, Lang, Patten, VTL, et al. destroyed.
